“Music is what feelings sound like”

We’re always on the lookout for cool, budget-friendly wedding favours and for today’s free DIY printable we’re sharing a great idea and design by the the lovely ladies at Tadaa. I love their style!

I would suggest recording some fun folk songs with your fiance or finding talented artists who distribute their music online for free..Contact them to ask for permission to share their work and credit them for it.

Here’s what the team at Tadaa had to say about their creative cd wedding favours:

We love personalised favours so we racked our brains a little as we wanted to create something that would be cost effective and meaningful. So…what could be better than treating your guests to a CD of your favourite songs presented with a touch of fun.

LOVE this idea! We actually considered doing it for our own wedding 2 years ago but we were not sure how legal it was :) Do you have any info on the legalities involved in copying and distributing music in this way? Would love to know out of interest. Super cute design xxx

I’ve also been thinking about that today :) My idea would be to rather record some funny songs with your fiance or find some cool artists that are distributing their music for free online and ask them if you could share it with your guests. Copyright infringement is not cool!

You guys bring up a good point! A big thumbs down to copyright infringement! But if you have you have your heart set on this do as Kirsten says, make the music yourself, have the wedding party help you out or we have seen a couple of wedding blogs that point you in the direction of some licensing sites – there are tons out there. Hope this helps!
